About Winchester Informed CitizenRecognizing the fact that it is virtually impossible for any one person to keep informed about town government activities, the idea for this website was born. The meetings are numerous and we all lead busy lives, making it difficult to participate in person or even to get to town hall during business hours to ask for copies of meeting minutes. Here is a central location where interested people like yourself can find out what you want to know, in the privacy of your own home, at your own convenience. The decisions made while we're busy with other things will have a lasting impact on your life (what the town says you are and are not allowed to do) and on how your tax dollars are being spent. We also hope to include other important town documents, such as monthly budget summaries, Master Plan, Economic Development Plan, Zoning Ordinances, Hazard Mitigation Plan, Solid Waste District foundation documents, Transfer Station Ordinance and many others.
